1. Overview
Clubbera is committed to fostering safe, respectful, and legal communities. This policy outlines what content is prohibited on our platform, how content moderation works, and how to report violations.
Our Moderation Philosophy:
- Communities self-moderate within our guidelines
- Clubbera intervenes for serious violations, illegal content, and safety threats
- We use a combination of community reporting, AI-assisted detection (planned), and human review
- Enforcement is fair, transparent, and proportionate
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following content and conduct are prohibited across all Clubbera communities:
2.1 Illegal Content and Activity
Prohibited:
- Content that violates UK law or the laws of the user's jurisdiction
- Promotion or facilitation of illegal activities
- Sale or distribution of illegal goods or substances
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualization of minors
- Terrorist content or promotion of terrorism
- Incitement to violence or criminal activity
Action: Immediate removal, account suspension or ban, report to law enforcement where required.
2.2 Adult Content and Nudity
Prohibited:
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content
- Nude or partially nude images
- Sexual solicitation or services
- Content depicting sexual acts
Exceptions:
- Educational or artistic content with appropriate context and warnings
- Breastfeeding and non-sexual health content
- These exceptions require clear labeling and community agreement
Action: Content removal, warning on first violation, suspension for repeat violations.
2.3 Hate Speech and Harassment
Prohibited:
- Attacks on individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Slurs, epithets, or dehumanizing language targeting protected groups
- Promotion of hate groups or hateful ideologies
- Holocaust denial or other denial of documented atrocities
Also Prohibited:
- Personal harassment, bullying, or intimidation
- Threats of violence or harm
- Doxxing (sharing private personal information without consent)
- Coordinated harassment campaigns
- Unwanted sexual attention or advances
Action: Content removal, warning to permanent ban depending on severity. Severe cases reported to authorities.
2.4 Spam and Manipulation
Prohibited:
- Unsolicited commercial messages or advertisements
- Repetitive, duplicate, or irrelevant content
- Fake accounts or impersonation of others
- Vote manipulation or artificial engagement
- Misleading links or phishing attempts
- Malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Schemes to manipulate platform features or algorithms
Action: Content removal, account suspension for spam operations, permanent ban for malicious activity.
2.5 Scams and Fraud
Prohibited:
- Fraudulent schemes or deceptive practices
- Misrepresentation of events, memberships, or services
- Fake fundraisers or donation requests
- Pyramid schemes or multi-level marketing schemes
- False or misleading advertising
- Price manipulation or artificial scarcity
Action: Content removal, account suspension pending investigation, permanent ban for confirmed fraud, refunds facilitated where appropriate, report to authorities.
2.6 Violence and Graphic Content
Prohibited:
- Depictions of extreme violence or gore
- Content glorifying or promoting violence
- Self-harm or suicide content
- Instructions for creating weapons or explosives
- Animal cruelty
Exceptions:
- News coverage or documentary content with appropriate warnings
- Educational content with clear context
Action: Content removal, account review, suspension for glorification of violence.
2.7 Misinformation (Health and Safety)
Prohibited:
- Health misinformation that poses serious risk (e.g., dangerous medical advice, anti-vaccine misinformation during public health crises)
- Crisis misinformation during emergencies (e.g., false evacuation orders)
Note: General misinformation is not prohibited but may be labeled or contextualized. We support free expression while protecting safety.
Action: Content removal or labeling depending on risk level, repeat violators may be suspended.
2.8 Platform Abuse
Prohibited:
- Circumventing bans or suspensions
- Creating multiple accounts to violate policies
- Interfering with platform functionality
- Scraping or unauthorized data collection
- Reverse engineering or attempting to compromise security
Action: Account termination, IP bans where appropriate, legal action for serious violations.
3. Community-Specific Moderation
3.1 Community Rules
Community organizers may set additional rules for their communities, provided they:
- Do not conflict with this policy or Clubbera's Terms of Service
- Are clearly communicated to members
- Are enforced consistently and fairly
Examples of Acceptable Community Rules:
- Topic restrictions (e.g., "no political discussions")
- Participation requirements (e.g., "introduce yourself first")
- Format guidelines (e.g., "event photos must include captions")
- Additional conduct standards (e.g., "be supportive and constructive")
3.2 Organizer Responsibilities
Community organizers are responsible for:
- Setting clear community guidelines
- Moderating content within their communities
- Responding to member reports in a timely manner
- Taking action against violations of community rules
- Cooperating with Clubbera investigations
Organizer Tools:
- Remove posts, comments, or content
- Issue warnings to members
- Temporarily mute or ban members from their community
- Report serious violations to Clubbera
3.3 When Clubbera Intervenes
Clubbera will directly intervene and potentially override community decisions in cases of:
- Illegal content or activity
- Scams, fraud, or financial misconduct
- Threats to user safety
- Violations of prohibited content policies (Section 2)
- Systematic abuse of platform features
- Organizer misconduct or policy violations
4. Reporting Violations
4.1 How to Report
Users can report content or conduct through:
In-Platform Reporting:
- Click the "Report" button on any post, comment, or profile
- Select the reason for reporting
- Provide additional context (optional but helpful)
- Submit the report
Email Reporting:
- Email: moderation@clubbera.com
- Include: URL of content, description of violation, your account info (optional)
Urgent Safety Issues:
- Email: safety@clubbera.com
- For immediate threats, contact local law enforcement first
4.2 What to Report
Please report:
- Content that violates this policy
- Suspicious activity (scams, fraud)
- Behavior that makes you feel unsafe
- Technical issues being exploited
- Organizer misconduct
4.3 Anonymous Reporting
- Reports can be submitted anonymously
- Anonymous reports may be harder to investigate without follow-up ability
- We encourage signed reports where safe to do so
4.4 False Reports
Misuse of reporting:
- Repeatedly filing false reports to harass others is prohibited
- Organized reporting campaigns to silence legitimate content are prohibited
- Consequences: Warning, then suspension of reporting privileges or account suspension
5. Review and Enforcement Process
5.1 Initial Review
When content is reported:
- Automated Triage: High-risk content (CSAM, terrorism) is flagged immediately
- Community Review: Organizers review reports within their communities (24-48 hours target)
- Platform Review: Clubbera reviews reports of prohibited content or serious violations (24-72 hours target)
5.2 Investigation
For serious violations, we may:
- Review the reported content and context
- Examine user history and patterns
- Consult with subject matter experts
- Request additional information from reporter or reported user
5.3 Enforcement Actions
Based on violation severity and user history, we may take:
Warning:
- Notice of policy violation
- Explanation of the violation
- No other penalties for first-time minor violations
Content Removal:
- Specific content is deleted
- User notified of removal and reason
- Content may be preserved for appeals or investigations
Temporary Suspension:
- Account access restricted for set period (typically 7-30 days)
- User can view content but cannot post or interact
- Notification includes reason and duration
Permanent Ban:
- Account permanently closed
- User prohibited from creating new accounts
- Applied for: repeat violations, severe single violations, illegal activity, fraud
Legal Action:
- Report to law enforcement for illegal content
- Cooperation with legal investigations
- Civil action for serious platform abuse or harm
5.4 Notification
When action is taken:
- Content Removal: User notified within 24 hours with reason
- Account Actions: Immediate notification via email with explanation
- Appeals Information: Instructions for appeal included in notification
6. Appeals Process
6.1 How to Appeal
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error:

- Include: your account info, enforcement action being appealed, explanation
- Submit within 30 days of the action

- Original context and decision are considered
- Additional information may be requested

6.2 Expedited Appeals
For wrongful account bans or time-sensitive matters:
- Mark your appeal as "urgent"
- Provide clear evidence of error
- Review within 3-5 business days
6.3 What Cannot Be Appealed
- Actions required by law or law enforcement
- Decisions based on legal violations (subject to legal process, not appeals)
- Decisions confirmed after multiple appeals
7. Planned AI Moderation
7.1 Future Implementation
We plan to implement AI-assisted moderation to:
- Detect prohibited content faster
- Identify patterns of abuse
- Flag high-risk content for priority review
- Reduce burden on human moderators
7.2 Human Oversight
- All AI decisions will be subject to human review for significant actions
- Users can appeal AI moderation decisions
- We will regularly audit AI systems for bias and accuracy
- Transparency reports will include AI moderation statistics
7.3 User Notice
When AI moderation is implemented:
- This policy will be updated with specific details
- Users will be notified of the change
- Appeals process will remain available
